How to Screen Share and Online Meetings with Dead Simple Screen Sharing
Here are steps that will guide you through the complete process of creating a meeting a meeting with Dead Simple Screen Sharing.
This guide is divided into two sections:
- Creating a new meeting in Google Chrome
- Creating a new meeting in Firefox
- Joining an existing meeting
Creating a new meeting in Google Chrome
After you click the button the app will ask you to allow audio. Audio access is required for Audio Conferencing.
If you haven’t already installed the chrome extension the app will ask you install the chrome extension. Click on the Install Extension button and Install the Chrome extension.
After the chrome extension is installed, a popup will appear automatically, that will ask you to select the screen you wish to share. You can share your entire screen or an application window. Select the screen you want to share and then click the Share button.
That’s it, now you screen is being shared. You can invite the participants by sharing the “Invite URL” or by inviting them using email.
If you wish to stop sharing your screen you can click “Stop Screen Share” button.
Creating a new meeting in Firefox
After click the button, allow the audio access, audio access is required for Audio Conferencing.
Allow screen sharing, in firefox you don’t have to install any extension, screen sharing work out of the box, but in Firefox you cannot share an application window, the entire screen is shared.
That’s it! Your screen is now being shared. You can invite other participants using email or sharing the invite URL.
Joining an Existing Meeting
User from any modern browser like Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, IE Edge can join the meeting. To join the meeting simply visit the meeting URL, and a page as shown in the image will be presented to you.
It will ask you to allow audio access for audio conferencing, after you have allowed the audio you will see the following page:
Type in your name and then click the Join Meeting button to join the meeting.
That’s it After you have clicked the join meeting button, you can view the screen.
